Troubleshoot common problems
Resolve missing records, validation errors, export problems, and purchase issues.
Start with these checks
- 1
Read the exact message.
Note the screen and what you selected immediately before it appeared.
- 2
Check the business and filters.
Confirm the active business, category, status filter, search term, and report dates.
- 3
Check whether the action already saved.
Return to the list and look for the record before retrying. This helps avoid duplicates after an interrupted screen update.
- 4
Protect your working data.
Create a backup before reinstalling, restoring, or attempting a reset. Do not erase the only copy of your records to troubleshoot a display issue.
Common messages and next steps
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| No business found / No user found | Complete setup or select the intended existing business. |
| Please select customer / supplier | Select a saved contact. On current sales screens, you can also choose Walk-in or use Quick Add; purchases require a supplier. |
| Please add at least one item | Add a product, service, or bill line before saving. |
| Insufficient stock | Review the linked item’s stock and quantity; record a real restock through Purchases. |
| Please select a bank | Add and select the account that matches the actual payment. |
| Daily limit exceeded | Compare today’s activity with the account’s receive/send limits. |
| Missing account / revenue account not found | Review the Chart of Accounts. Contact support if a default category is missing; do not reset your records. |
| No expense categories | Create an Expense-type account in Chart of Accounts. |
| No prior purchases found | Check the purchasing Google account and use Restore Purchases while online. |
| Restore failed | Use an unchanged .yesri file, confirm access and space, and preserve the original backup. |
When a feature or button looks different
These guides follow the current app screens reviewed for this website. Some labels differ by language, platform, or release. Use the feature names to find the corresponding screen.
Some advertised advanced capabilities may not have controls in your installed release. Contact support for version-specific instructions rather than trying an unrelated action. User Management is currently a coming-soon item; the business switcher is not a staff-permissions system.
Make a useful support request
Include the app version, device or Windows version, active business name if appropriate, screen name, steps to reproduce, and exact error. Add a redacted screenshot only if it helps explain the issue.
Avoid sharing a full database, customer list, PIN, password, or payment-card details in your first message. Support can explain what information is needed for the specific problem.
