Interpret the figures correctly
This report follows the records and calculation method in Yesri. The current version includes purchase bills for the selected period in expenses; it is not a separate calculation of the cost of only the stock sold. Collected sales tax is excluded from sales income, while recorded tax paid can appear as a cost.
A posted but unpaid invoice can appear in income. That does not mean the money is already in your bank. Use Cash Flow and payment records to review receipts.
A worked example
If the report shows Rs 50,000 income, Rs 20,000 purchases, Rs 8,000 direct expenses, and no other costs, the displayed net result is Rs 22,000. These are illustrative figures.
If your result differs from your expectations, compare dates, check whether invoices are still drafts, and ensure the same purchase has not also been entered as an expense.
